Jal Jeevan Mission
“Har Ghar Jal Har Ghar Nal”
- Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Government of Maharashtra, Government Decision dated 4/9/2020, the following guidelines have been given for implementing Jal Jeevan Mission in the state – Policy to supply clean drinking water at the rate of 55 liters per capita per day.
- All plans are designed for 30 years.
- The Saturation Plan of Jal Jeevan Programme of Jalna district approved by the State Level Scheme Sanctioning Committee (SLSSC) for the year 2022-23 includes a total of 733 schemes and the cost is Rs. 507.73 crore.
- Government decision dated 11/02/2021, District Water and Sanitation Mission Committee Jalna (DWSM) has been constituted under the chairmanship of Hon’ble District Collector and Hon’ble Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad is the co-chairman of the said committee, as well as 14 officers of various departments are members of the committee. Through DWSM, as per Government decision dated 29/06/2022, administrative approval has been given to schemes up to Rs. 5 crores within the per capita expenditure criteria.
- Government has selected WAPCOS Ltd. and NABARD Consultancy (Nabcon) as project management consultants for the implementation of water supply schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The said agency is carrying out survey of water supply schemes, preparation of project report (DPR), technical supervision etc.
- The government has appointed Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to conduct a third-party technical audit of the scheme.
